Nasrin Larijani (b. 1995) is a conceptual photographer with a background in Architecture. Since 2020, she has been professionally engaged in photography, using her academic training to inform her deep sensitivity to urban spaces and environments. This sensitivity drives her exploration of the layered stories and transformations embedded in these spaces, particularly in Iran, where her work reflects on the tension between physical places and the untold narratives they silently hold.
Her photography often examines environments that bear witness to societal change—whether through sudden, catastrophic events or the more gradual processes of erasure and transformation that affect marginalized groups. By focusing on these silent narratives, Nasrin aims to illuminate forgotten histories and provoke reflection on themes of memory, identity, and the passage of time. Her approach is rooted in a belief that photography, as a medium, has the unique power to amplify voices that are often overlooked or silenced.
